AJWS VOLUNTEER CORPS
AJWS Volunteer Corps is a unique opportunity for Jewish professionals to embark on substantive volunteer assignments in developing countries with grassroots NGOs that are fighting poverty and working at the intersection of international development and human rights. Volunteers serve for two months to a year at organizations addressing issues such as sustainable livelihoods, health, education, civil participation and community involvement in disasters and emergencies.
Participants range in age from young professionals to retirees and span the spectrum of careers and interests. They provide skills training and general support, aiming to leave NGOs and communities with skills they will utilize long after the assignment ends, promoting sustainable development and a lasting impact. Participants return home inspired by what they have seen and accomplished and prepared to advocate for community building and social change at home and abroad.
